Sapphire Singapore is launching on
19 September 2024
Through our previous three Sapphire dinners in Australia, we successfully raised over $4 million in support of ocean conservation efforts.
A Legacy Project:
Uniting, Educating and Inspiring Our Community to Love and Protect Our Oceans
Founded in 2021 with the support of Tiffany & Co., Sapphire has achieved remarkable milestones over the past three years. We have hosted one media launch event and three fundraising dinners, raising over $4 million for ocean conservation, all from individual donors. To date, our events have engaged over one thousand supporters in person, and with our inaugural event in Singapore this year that number continues to grow. Our impact continues to extend globally through online coverage and brand partnerships, continuously growing a community committed to ocean conservation.
OUR PURPOSE: The Sapphire Project is a catalyst for transformative change, dedicated to raising essential funds and awareness for organisations making a tangible impact in protecting and preserving our oceans. More than just a conservation effort, it serves as a rallying cry for action, inspiring communities, celebrating leadership in sustainable innovation, and mobilising resources for a blue future. Through events like the Sapphire Dinner, we unite donors with visionary initiatives, building philanthropic momentum and fostering a shared commitment to the well-being of our oceans.
OUR VISION: We strive to unite, educate, and inspire diverse communities to care for and protect our oceans, while also providing financial support to organisations actively working towards ocean conservation. These goals form the foundation of our efforts and define our relationships with partners and donors.
OUR OBJECTIVES: We seek to inspire a wave of philanthropic support for ocean conservation across Australia, Singapore, and the broader Asia region. Sapphire aims to become the trusted platform where donors and advocates can discover and support critical work being done in the environmental space, with Singapore playing a pivotal role in expanding our reach across Asia.
THE HOW: By bringing together key stakeholders and donors, we celebrate UN World Ocean Day through gala fundraising events in Sydney and now, Singapore. These events create opportunities to connect donors to high-impact ocean conservation organisations and innovative technologies making a difference.
HOW DONATION FUNDS ARE MANAGED: We proudly partner with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, ensuring that 100% of funds raised are administered and distributed without any administration costs, maximising the impact of every dollar contributed.
“This year, Sapphire shines brighter thanks to the extraordinary collaboration from our partners, and most importantly, our friends. Despite global economic challenges, it is your passion, love, and belief in our mission that have made this event possible. Our unique approach ensures every dollar raised goes directly to impactful conservation, and it is the dedication and passion of those involved that keep our vision alive. Together, we are creating a legacy of collective action for our oceans. Your unwavering support is the heartbeat of this project, driving us forward not just for today, but for generations to come. Thank you for being part of this journey and for believing in the power of unity to create lasting change.”
